As a socially responsible company, we support sporting events and activities that direct young people on the right path and motivate them to engage in sports and achieve success. We are particularly pleased when we have the opportunity to do so in our own city.
One of the clubs we support is Karate Club Knjaz, and especially Jovana Preković, the current senior European champion. Peštan has become accustomed to being a part of success, but that is not the most important; the most important thing is that the results of the Karate Club Knjaz and Jovana Preković motivate children and youth to practice sports and show the right way, the way of sports. That’s what Peštan supports and in this direction we will continue.
Previous weekend, the international karate tournament “Arandjelovac Open” was held in SRC Šumadija, under the organization of Karate Club Knjaz. Visitors of this manifestation were greeted by Slavoljub Piper, President of the Karate Federation of Serbia, then Bojan Radović, President of the Arandjelovac Municipality, and on behalf of the company Peštan, a brief speech was delivered by the Head of the Marketing Department of our company, Darko Gajić, who stated that we plan to continue listening to the needs of young people and investing in quality improvement of life and environment.
Roksanda Atanasov awarded plaques in appreciation of the Karate Federation of Serbia, Municipality of Arandjelovac, Arandjelovac Municipality Sports Union, SRC Šumadija and company Peštan.
Over 600 competitors from Serbia, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro participated in this year’s tournament. One of the novelties is that the seniors from Serbia within this tournament also had qualifications for the national championship, which will be held on March 10th, which additionally gives importance to this event.
