Forklift driving competitions are popular in many companies around the world. As a company with a large and developed logistics center, we came up with the idea of organizing such an event within our company.
This type of event encourages competitive spirit and improves driving skills, but also provides an opportunity for all employees to have fun, socialize and get to know each other better.
On Sunday, May 14, at the company’s open area in Bukovik organized the first Peštan Forklift Driving Competition. The director of logistics, Ivan Jaćimović, came up with the idea and initiative for the Forklift competition, which was developed and organized through the synergy of several company departments.
The central part of the competition was the forklift driving challenge, where skilled operators had to drive a barrel of water, avoiding barriers on a specially prepared training ground. The task involved maneuvering pallets as well as driving between cones in reverse. During the ride, time and mistakes were measured to select the best players.

Nearly 30 participants showed their skills and dexterity in driving a forklift. All participants received gifts and certificates of appreciation for their participation, while the first 5 places received cash prizes.
The Peštan Forklift Competition was much more than just a competition. The ceremonial opening and closing of the event was followed up by music and a party, providing an opportunity for all colleagues to enjoy the good atmosphere, food and drink.
LET’S MEET AGAIN NEXT YEAR
We hope that this event will become a tradition, because of the great and positive atmosphere, despite the unstable weather conditions, and that it will become one of the events that all employees and the local community looking forward to.
